Iraq gaming internet survey العربية

Help map the real state of Iraqi internet

We're building a free public dashboard showing which ISP is genuinely fastest in your city — real measured latency, not advertised speeds. A few quick questions. No names, no phone numbers, and nothing you answer is published with your identity attached.

If you also have a stable fibre line, the last section is about hosting a monitoring node for the project.

01 Your connection

Results on the dashboard are split by governorate — this shows us where coverage is missing.

To compare providers against each other — without it there's no way to tell which one is actually better.

What kind of connection is it?

Fibre and wireless behave very differently, so we only ever compare like with like.

How much do you pay per month?

To show what you actually get for what you pay. We don't ask for any other financial information.

What speed is your package advertised at?

To compare the speed you're sold with what actually reaches you.

02 Your gaming

Which games do you play most? Pick all that apply

Decides which game servers we add to monitoring first.

What ping do you usually see in game? Optional

To compare what players actually feel with what we measure.

Do you use a ping booster or GPN? Optional

Tells us how many people already pay to fix their connection — a measure of how bad today's routes are.

03 Hosting a node

A node is a small background service. It uses about 12 KB/s, publishes no personal data, and the person hosting it is never named.

Would you host a Netmalna monitoring node on your connection?

Nodes are what actually measure the internet. Every new one covers a city or ISP we can't see today.

How stable is your internet?

An unstable connection produces misleading readings, so we need to know up front.

What is your electricity setup?

If the device loses power, the reading looks as if the internet dropped — we need to tell the two apart.

Could you leave it running 24/7, all week?

Monitoring needs continuity; long gaps leave holes in the data.

What would you run it on?

Tells us which nodes we can rely on most — an always-on machine beats a laptop.

The only way to contact you about hosting. Never shown on the dashboard, never shared.

How would you prefer we contact you? Optional

So we reach you the way you actually prefer.

Netmalna publishes aggregated results only — city, ISP and package. Your identity never appears on the dashboard.
